디자이너에게 있어 "대중"이란.

학생들이 자주하는 질문,

"디자인을 대부분의 사람(대중)이 이해하지 못한다면 무슨 의미가 있습니까?"

조금 다른 방향으로 생각해 보면:

마아케팅을 기반으로 개발되어온 광고의 방법론에는 "대중"이 중심에 있고,

일반적으로 시각디자인의 대중적 인식이 "광고"에 있다는 점을 이해하고,

마아케팅의 관점으로 오늘날의 현상을 바라본다고 해도

대부분의 사람을 만족시키는 무언가를 만든다는 것이 가능하기는 할까?

......

"백미러만을 바라보고 앞으로 전진해 나갈 방법은 없다."

생각해 보시길.
